How deep of scratched does the large hog system work with?

Thanks for the question! With the Combo Scratch Hog systems you will be able to repair isolated areas (1 sq/ft) on all types of glass as well as large applications (1 sg/ft +). Both the Standard and Heavy Duty Scratch Hog system will accomplish these types of repair when they are used in conjuction with one another. The depth of the scratch usually is up to .015. I am thinking of purchasing the large kit for missive scratches on a lot of glass. i am hesitant because i have seen reviews that its very messy and still leaves a haze.i need to know the system is effective. what if i'm doing inside a high rise building and cannot mark the outside glass so i know where i am applying the application?(as in video). Also the plug will plug into normal extension cords? how much of the differant types solutions come with the kit for how much square feet of glass?

Thanks for the questions! The combo system is the most versatile option for small to large applications. When marking the scratch it is most effective to have access to the opposite side of the glass, but is not mandatory. Water is distributed onto the surface of the glass as the operator needs it so the water is not always running on the surface...that being said it does require the glass to be cleaned after the repair. Are the pads a one time use or can they be used more than once? If so, how many times can a pad be used?

Hey Doug, typically you can use each scratch removal disc for about 5 minutes of constant repair and then you need to switch them out. For a standard repair cycle you are spending about 2 minutes per disc "grit"/agression before moving to the next step so I would say 2-3 repair cycles per disc.

Can it remove scratches from wipers on a windshield?

Thank you for your question. Yes, this system will remove scratches from all types of glass including windshields. We however would not recommend repairing any scratching on a windshield that could be felt with a fingernail. Removing deeper scratches from a windshield can cause viewing irregularities through the glass while driving.
