What is the difference between the IA700AST and IA700AS?
The IA700AST includes the MaxiSYS MS909S2 tablet, wireless VCI, J2534 pass-thru programming device, and ADAS calibration software upgrade card. The IA700AS does not include the tablet or ADAS software upgrade.
Which ADAS systems can the IA700AST support?
Depending on the vehicle and OE-required procedure, the package supports Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Around View Monitoring, lidar, and night vision calibration.
Does the IA700AST include the diagnostic tablet?
The package includes the MaxiSYS MS909S2 diagnostic tablet.
Is the ADAS software included?
An Autel® ADAS Calibration Software Upgrade Card is included in the package.
Does the IA700AST perform wheel alignments?
No. It performs an optical wheel alignment pre-check to compare vehicle alignment conditions against manufacturer tolerances before ADAS calibration.
Can I use existing Autel ADAS targets with this system?
Yes. The IA700 platform is compatible with Autel® MA600 and IA900 targets, patterns, and calibration components.
* Perform calibrations only in a controlled indoor environment. The i700 is designed to help technicians reach a suitable controlled environment; calibration should not be performed outdoors, in parking lots, or in uncontrolled areas.
* Control the surrounding environment carefully. Maintain appropriate lighting, use neutral-colored surroundings, and avoid walls or objects with patterns that could be mistaken for calibration targets.
* Keep the calibration area free from outside interference such as wind that could move targets during the procedure.
* Make sure the vehicle is positioned on a suitable level surface when performing alignment checks or rolling compensation. Avoid slopes where the vehicle cannot be safely controlled during the rolling procedure.
* Always follow the vehicle-specific and OEM instructions provided by the system. Required target dimensions, distances, and positioning must not be changed from the specified requirements.
* Ensure tire clamps remain securely positioned and do not move during the rolling compensation process, as movement can affect alignment readings.
* Ensure sufficient space is available around the vehicle and calibration frame before starting. The required distance varies according to the vehicle and calibration procedure.
* For radar calibration, do not leave the metal calibration frame in front of the vehicle when the procedure requires it to be removed. Follow the specified reflector and laser positioning procedure.
* Always verify the completed calibration and retain the generated report as documentation that the procedure was performed correctly.
